ABOUT THE EU WHISTLEBLOWING MONITOR

The EU Directive on Whistleblowing, adopted in 2019, aims to strengthen and harmonise whistleblower protections across the 27 Member States. All countries have now passed legislation to transpose the Directive, the pace and quality of transposition has varied.

Developed by the Whistleblowing International Network (WIN), the EU Whistleblowing Monitor provides up-to-date information on the implementation of the Directive through national news updates, compliance tracking, and a hub of resources, tools and analysis. Learn more on our About page.

NEW ENHANCED COUNTRY PROFILES

Thanks to EU funding through the SAFE for Whistleblowers programme, enhanced country pages have been launched for seven pilot countries. These new national monitors provide more in-depth information and analysis on national implementation.
